  • As the 2016-2017 school year begins, I want to welcome you to Tangipahoa Alternative Solutions Program.  The faculty and staff of TASP envision our campus as a safe place where students can develop and succeed academically, socially, and emotionally with a dedicated and creative staff to meet the needs of each student.

TASP is designed to provide students who have not been successful in a traditional school setting, the opportunity of participating in a structured, positive and meaningful learning experience.  Students will learn responsibility and gain self-confdence through the Positive Behavior Intervention System at TASP.

TASP wants your student be successful and return to his/her home-based school as quickly as possible.  In order for this to happen, everyone involved must be working together and understand the program at TASP.  For this to happen, I meet individually with each parent/guardian and student, prior to enrollment. The meeting to be approximately 30 minutes long.  You will need to come a few minutes early in order to complete the necessary enrollment paperwork.  At the conclusion of the meeting, you and your student will know and understand the expectations to complete the TASP program.

Please call the office at 985-542-5634 to schedule a meeting August 1-5.  Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come/first-served basis.

Completion of TASP will be based upon a student successfully completing three levels: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.  A student earns the right to level-up, based upon attendance, grades, and discipline.
