The mission of the TPSS Special Education Department is to serve as the voice, advocate, and visionary for our students, ages 3-21,
with special and unique needs… to improve through the excellence of identification, evaluation, service, and training… the supports that are needed for each child to achieve his or her potential level of education in order to promote independence and productivity after graduation.

Our talented theatre students held the 20th annual movie premier at the Amite High School Auditorium Thursday night. Pictured with the students are First Lady Donna Edwards and Gifted and Talented teacher, Charley Vance. It was an extraordinary showcase of their talents and hard work.
Ms. Arceneaux, Mr. Brumfield, and Mr. Garner's Talented Music students recently performed at the Tangipahoa Parish School System's monthly Board Meeting.
Ms. Puma and Ms. Palisi's class made hot chocolate and potato latkes after learning about different traditions in their reading story. The students worked on math, reading and life skills during this lesson.
