Degrees and Certifications:
I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida and after college I moved to Louisiana a little over 25 years ago. I have 3 beautiful children and 2 cute little fur babies that I adore. I love to read, travel and meet new people. I received my Bachelors Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and I’ve been an educator for about 14 years. I’m new to the parish and very excited that this year I will have the pleasure of being a Resource Teacher for first grade here at Hammond Westside Montessori. My teaching philosophy and belief in education is very simple. I believe that all students are unique and can learn at their own capacity. I also believe that it is vitally important to invite and involve parents to become an active participant in their child’s education. I am a highly compassionate educator with a passion for lifelong learning. I’ve learned and become proficient in creating learning strategies that are fun using hands-on-approach techniques that keep students interested and focused. I take pride in nurturing and guiding students to develop a love for learning that enhance their academic ability. I am passionate about educating young minds and help them blossom into a well-rounded responsible and successful individuals. The parish theme for this year is “We are Stronger Together” and I believe that working together we can have a fun, productive school year.
