I have taught art close to ten years now! WOW! I don't feel old at all :) My passion for art and teaching go hand in hand! I have two children ages 4 and 6 so I know how important it is for young children to feel safe and special throughout the day at school. I also understand how sensitive children can be and how smart they are as well. Through assertive discipline, routine, lots of hugs, stickers, and fun art projects the day goes by pretty fast! I believe there is no right or wrong way to create art, we don't make mistakes, we call them "happy accidents". We take these and make them work for us and not against us and apply that to every aspect of our lives! Respect builds trusting relationships and trust with supplies! The number one rule in the art room is RESPECT. I hope that your little one or one's love art as much as I love teaching them and I am excited about the 2018-2019 school year! Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Also if you would like to volunteer or donate supplies please e mail me at amanda.king@tangischools.org with your phone number and I will get back with you A.S.A.P. If you do not have access to the internet just call the school with your name and number and I will get the message to call you from the office!

I can't wait to see your babies grow from a caterpillar to a butterfly throughout the school year and show off their work when they fly home for the summer!

    Stay Blessed,
