    Cybergators Robotics Team Sponsor(s): Ms Lee 

    Membership Requirements: Students who like to work with others; who are self-starters (motivated); who give and take directions well; who enjoy a challenge; who enjoy technology and problem solving will enjoy this competetive team.  There are only 10 spots available due to FIRST Lego League Regulations. No prior experience is needed, but interested students should try the games LightBot (https://lightbot.com/flash.html) and Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/?tip_bar=getStarted). These are programs that allow you to use Coding to complete a task. The program we use to make the robot complete missions is similar to these. 

    Description:  Student work as a team to program Lego Mindstorm robotics kits to perform specific tasks in local competitions. FIRST Lego League (FLL) competitions also require students to design and present a yearly research project, to present and defend their robot design & programming choices and to demonstrate how the team exeplifies core values of respect, teamwork, coopertition and gracious professionalism.FLL is about doing your best but also helping others to succeed.  All team members must participate in programming, research and public speaking.  

    Meeting Time:  3:00-5:00 Mondays & Wednesdays in season (August - December). Wednesdays 3:00-5:00 off season. 

    Membership Fee: $10 T-Shirt. We will work together on fundraisers for additional equipment and to cover competition entry fees.
