It's my fifth year to teach at O.W. Dillon and my fourth year to teach first grade. I am excited to be here and look forward to a new school year. My home is in Summit, Mississippi. I’ve taught in Mississippi for 34 years in the area of special education and as an interventionist.
My bachelor’s degree was earned at Mississippi University for Women. I have two Master’s degrees, one earned at William Carey University and the other from Mississippi College. This past summer, I completed an endorsement in the area of school psychometry at William Carey University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Mild/Moderate Disabilities.
I love teaching children how to read. Cooking is another pastime that I enjoy. My husband, Robert, and I enjoy spending time with our family and traveling.
I see and I forget.
I hear and I remember.
I do and I understand.
