Tangipahoa Alternative School is taking on a new adventure this 2017-18 school year.  We are providing an opportunity for students to earn their way out of TAS and back to their home-based school in a timely, constructive manner.  Students will be on a tri-level system.  Based upon attendance, discipline, and grades, students will move from level 1 to Level 2 to Level 3.  Upon completion of Level 3, students will be recommended to return to the home-based school at the end of the grading period.

Students will receive direct classroom instruction in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education.  Other classes offered include Introduction to Business Computer Applications, Ag I & II, Family and Consumer Science, Reading, Journey to Careers, Basic Wood Technology, and Construction.  TASP will offer classes utilizing Edgenuity, an online computer based program, when necessary to assure that your student is able to enroll in classes to transfer back to the home-based school.
