Elementary TangiTech (PreK-6th Grade) is a three day continuation workshop of technology integration into the classroom curriculum followed by a 1 week online Blackboard class. Elementary TangiTech is taking the place of TangiTech 1 and TangiTech 2. This training will provide you with examples of effective technology-based strategies that support and enhance curriculum and can provide a catalyst for fundamental change in the overall teaching and learning process. The focus of the program is good teaching not good technology. Common Core State Standards mandate that technology be infused into the curriculum. TAP/NIET teaching rubrics encourage teachers to motivate students and provide instructional content that fosters thinking and problem solving. This training can assist in meeting the needs set forth by CCSS and the teaching rubrics. Participants earn 24 CLUs for completion. Teachers may only take this class one time.

TangiTech Elementary is an intensive, content-rich, 24-hour professional development program. Through TangiTech Elementary you will experience many examples of effective technology-based strategies that support and enhance curriculum and that can provide a catalyst for fundamental change in overall teaching and learning processes. As a TangiTech participant you will learn basic technology skills while focusing on project-based activities that are based upon the Common Core State Standards.
