    I am a Graduate of Loranger High School class of 1972. I Earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1976 and a Master of Education Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1984. I taught for three years in St. Tammany Parish and then moved to Loranger High School as a Science and Biology teacher and football and track coach. I left teaching in 1984 to work as a Rural Letter Carrier for the USPS.  I was Elected Vice President of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and moved to Washington, DC. I was elected President of the NRLCA in 2003 and served for two years. I became an auditor for the USPS Office of Inspector General in 2005 until I retired in 2009. Upon my return to Louisiana I worked in the Science Department at the Tangi Alternative Program School (Northwood) until it closed in 2012. At that time I became the e 2020 Facilitator and Biology Teacher at Loranger High School. I am married to Leanne Ridgedell Holton (LHS Class of ’72) and have two children: Mitch Holton (LHS class of 96) and Amy Holton Kinzey (LHS Cass of 98). I have 3 grandchildren: Katelyn Kinzey and Hayes and Hyatt Holton.
