    Mrs. Deana Simmons teaches English IV and Publications I & II at Sumner High School. Mrs. Simmons has been teaching at Sumner High School for 20 years. She is the yearbook advisor and senior sponsor. Mrs. Simmons graduated from Sumner High School and Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education and is also certified in English. She is a SLWP Fellow with a love for teaching and an even greater love for writing. She believes that it is pertinent to document the stories of time past.
