Amanda Bracy is the Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Sumner High School. She teaches Early Childhood Education, Foods & Nutrition, FCS I, and the STAR (Students Teaching and Reaching) class for those students who want to enter the teaching profession. Mrs. Bracy has been in the education field for 12 years and a teacher at Sumner since 2004. She graduated from Sumner in 1995 and has since earned her bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and master's degree in School Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. Mrs. Bracy is also the sponsor of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), which is a co-curricular student organization for students taking FCS classes. Mrs. Bracy is passionate about teaching her students new things relating to themselves, their family, and community, and she is looking forward to another great year at SHS!
