My name is Kimberly Montgomery, and I teach 4th Grade Math and Science at D.C. Reeves Elementary! I am originally from Yazoo City, Mississippi, but have lived in Louisiana for over 19 years now. I have a wonderful husband and two fantabulous sons. Our oldest is a freshman at Southeastern Lousiana University, and our youngest is a freshman at PHS.
I graduated with an honors' degree in elementary education, and I am certificied Kindergarten - 8th grade. I have been in education for 12 years, (all of which have been at D.C. Reeves - including my student teaching). In addition to Math and Science, I have also taught Reading, Social Studies, Language, and Physical Education. I believe that my diverse background benefits my students in that I am willing and motivated to incorporate all subjects into our lessons.
This year, my students will participating in a variety of activities which I hope will spark an interest in subjects and topics that they have not previously been excited about. It is my hope that students will leave my classroom intrigued and inspired to learn more about Math, Science, Life, and their ability to Change the World! All things are possible and my students are capable of all things!!!
