     Meals to you
Deadline to apply is Monday night, March 30th.
Out of respect for the Governor’s request for residents to stay at home and in an effort to provide meals to local students, the Tangipahoa Parish School System will partner with a Texas-based non-profit to provide free meals to children under the age of 18 through the duration of the COVID-19 school closure.
Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said the district will partner with Baylor University’s “Meals to You” to provide a weekly home delivery service of five breakfast meals and five lunch servings to every child under the age of 18 in Tangipahoa Parish

  • Coronavirus update

In keeping with our vision statement, the Tangipahoa Parish School System continues to develop safe and innovative environments for student learning. Although concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) have halted classroom instruction, our district remains committed to offering educational opportunities for our students until they are able to return to their campuses. Sadly, the closure of our school campuses disrupts routine for our students, as well as their families. With this in mind, we offer a Frequently Asked Questions and information page to help families adjust to schedule changes until classes resume. Click HERE to see the FAQ's.

  • Fire Prevention Week field trip

Thank a Firefighter! It's National Fire Prevention Week!

The fourth grade students of Ms. Brandi Bastian's class at DC Reeves Elementary took a walking field trip to their local fire department. The students learned about important ways to prevent fires, as well as how to stay safe if a fire should occur. Students took turns walking through a simulated house fire to practice crawling and exiting through an open window. The firemen showed off their fire fighitng gear, even letting the students take turns spraying water from the giant hose!

Remember to practice fire safety with your children at home and always have an escape plan!
