  • Scouts may wear their uniforms to school on Oct 16th

We are calling all Scouts to Be A Friend First!
Wear your Scout Uniform Wednesday, Oct. 16th

Scouts may wear their uniforms on Oct. 16th in recognition of their stance on preventing bullying on their school campuses. Scouts are challenged to identify themselves to their peers by wearing their uniforms and to be visible so that classmates can count on them for a kind word, a lunch buddy, or a resource to help them report bullying to their school administrators.

Remember to always be respectful, compassionate, and great towards your classmates! We are proud of our scouts and the model behavior that they display while on and off our school campuses.

  • National School Lunch Week

President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child's life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

A huge shout out to all our cafeteria workers who work so hard everyday to make sure our students have a healthy, warm meal. We appreciate all you do!

  • Fire Prevention Week field trip

Thank a Firefighter! It's National Fire Prevention Week!

The fourth grade students of Ms. Brandi Bastian's class at DC Reeves Elementary took a walking field trip to their local fire department. The students learned about important ways to prevent fires, as well as how to stay safe if a fire should occur. Students took turns walking through a simulated house fire to practice crawling and exiting through an open window. The firemen showed off their fire fighitng gear, even letting the students take turns spraying water from the giant hose!

Remember to practice fire safety with your children at home and always have an escape plan!
