Zearn

Zearn math is designed for kids to work through each 30 minute lesson on their own. Your child will learn with an on-screen Zearn teacher and solve math problems in lots of different activities, all with built-in math help.

TPSS students access Zearn through their Classlink dashboard.

Zearn is available for students in grades Kindergarten - 8, as well as those enrolled in Algebra I.

How can I support my child's math learning with Zearn?

Remind your child that making mistakes is how we learn! Encourage them to try their best. Zearn has built-in math help so students can get through tough problems!

Set and track goals. Studies show that completing Zearn Math lessons weekly alongside daily instruction leads to signficant learning gains. Many teachers set weekly goals to help motivate student learning. Ask your child about their goal this week.

Celebrate progress. Kids earn "badges" for each lesson they complete. Ask them to show you! You can also reach out to their teacher for more information about their progress with Zearn Math.

View my child's progress

There are a variety of methods you can use to keep track of your child's progress. One option is to check the Lesson Tracker at the top of your child's Student Feed. This tracker shows the exact lesson your child is assigned to and the specific activity in that lesson that they’re currently working on.

You can also track progress by viewing the lesson badges your child has earned in “Badges.”

For more detailed information on your child’s progress with Zearn Math, we recommend reaching out to your child’s teacher. Teachers have access to multiple reports — including an individual Student Report — that offer progress updates side-by-side with other information to provide a holistic view of your child’s math learning.
