Dear Parents and Guardians,
During this difficult time, we want all of you to know that our students are our top priority. While in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines, we still would like to keep all lines of communication open and to assist in keeping some normalcy to our students’ daily lives.
In our efforts to keep our families connected, a plan has been set in place with the guidance of our leaders, both at the district and state level. Listed below are the guidelines set forth by our district:● Students will return to school Monday, April 20● Spring Break will remain as planned from April 10-April 19● The instructional minute requirements per year have been suspended for this school year, and will not be extended into the month of June● No grades or attendance will be taken while school is out of session● Instructional materials that teachers are providing are optional, however it is strongly encouraged students review the material● Teachers will regularly be in contact in an effort to keep communication open and for education to continue as much as possible in our absence from school● State-wide testing will begin no earlier than April 27 through May 4● Be sure to register to receive electronic newsletter through the TangiSchools website
Your child’s teacher will be in touch with detailed instructions as to how to access the Optional Resources on the TPSS webpage. We will continue communication via our webpage, Facebook, and Class Dojo. We will be releasing additional information about our meal distribution, which is set to begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
We appreciate your flexibility, continued support, and cooperation. As we know, this situation continues to change daily. We will do our best to keep you informed of any further updates/changes that may occur over the next few weeks. We love our DCR family and look forward to seeing everyone again.
