Smiling is our favorite, too! Thanks to all the families that had a smiling good time at our family engagement event Thursday night. Jaydon had the biggest smile of all because he won the Chromebook door prize! Ms. Drago and the Hammond High Pro Start students made everyone smile with their cookies and milk. Mia came decked out in her Santa suit and had the most smiles as she wished everyone a Merry Christmas! Thanks to everyone who attended and made this a very special event.

Christmas Ornaments on the mansion Christmas Tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Louisiana and these artistic masterpieces helped trim the tree at the Governors Mansion this year. The mansion's decorative theme is "All Things Louisiana" and we think our talented art students nailed it with their representations of the theme. From magnolias to a good ole' pot of Gumbo, their ornaments represent everything Louisiana.
We are #tangiproud of the hard work they put in so Tangischools could be a part of this beautiful Christmas tree at the Governor's Mansion.

    PJHS Band Plays at Dillard's

The sound of Christmas was in the air at Dillard's Department store Tuesday as the Ponchatoula Jr. High band played for shoppers. The band is under the direction of Jeff Cardaronella and they did a fantastic job of getting everyone in the holiday spirit. #tangiproud

    Teachers pose with Chromebook.

We would like to congratulate Cathy Thompson of D.C. Reeves Elementary School. She is the winner of the Chromebook donated by Farm Bureau Insurance Agency of Tangipahoa. Mrs. Thompson along with other teachers from our parish completed the Ag in the Classroom 2 … Can You Dig It! Bitty PLC Online class in November. Upon completion of all the assignments, the Farm Bureau Board of Directors read the teachers’ final assignment and selected a winner. What a fantastic partnership between Farm Bureau Agency of Tangipahoa and the TPSS Schools. Thank You Farm Bureau!

Christmas Parent Night at Independence Leadership Academy

Independence Leadership Academy held a parent night with a guest speaker and students singing Christmas Carols. Mr. Carlton Ashby, a motivational speaker, has been working with the students, parents, and faculty at ILA to motivate students to be the best they can be and how to reach their full potential.  The parents enjoyed singing, directed by Mrs. Artie Gautire.
