  • PHS Juniors

    Ponchatoula High School juniors, Ryan Elzy and Gabriel Diaz, along with the rest of the student body of Tangipahoa Parish, are ready to begin week 2 of the school year. Students are focusing on bringing their best each day by being respectful, compassionate, and great!  We've got the feeling that this is going to be our best year yet.

    Hammond Westside Receives Booksack Donation
     
    TPSS mom and hairstylist, Kylie Hernandez, collected 130+ booksacks to donate for children in our school system who are in need.  She didn't do it to be recognized or honored, but she saw a need and acted.  Pictured on August 15, 2019, are Hammond Westside Pre-K teacher Beth Soniat, Kylie Hernandez, TPSS students Zayne and Ayden Hernandez and Hammond Westside co-principal Hugh Wallace. HWM would like to thank Ms. Hernandez for her generous donation to our students!

    ILA Summer Reading Program

    Reading Across the Seasons

    Independence Leadership Academy promoted the Summer Reading Program at the Independence Branch Library by awarding incentives to the students who read books and attended programs at the library.  Pictured are front row L to R: Morgan Spencer, Baylee Rogers, Blakely Gomez, and Isabella Figueroa and Back Row L to R: Teriana Thomas, Steviana Bonds, and Jacob Figueroa. In addition, Blakely Gomez completed the Read to Me Program and received prizes from the library.

    At Midway, Mrs. Amber & Mrs. Kristen's Pre-k class worked hard all week long learning about the letter "N". On Fun Friday, they made Noodle Necklaces!
