Tuition and Praxis Reimbursement

  • Tuition and Praxis Reimbursement for Initial Certification or Add-On in a Core Content Teaching Assignment
    Effective August 3, 2015, due to the number of persons seeking initial certification or Highly Qualified status, Title I and Title II will only reimburse teachers for initial certification or for an add-on certification in a core content teaching assignment.  Courses leading to higher degrees or additional certifications will not be reimbursed.

ESL Certification

  • Do you have students who are English Language Learners?

    Teachers who are interested in receiving ESL Certification may apply for teacher tuition reimbursement through Title I. Contact Glenda Husser at 985-310-2189 if you should have any questions.

Cancellation/Deferment Options for Teachers

  • Teachers serving in a low-income school or subject-matter shortage area may be able to have their student loans cancelled or deferred.
