    Tangipahoa Volunteers for
    Family and Community Scholarship


    $1.000 scholarship to a graduating High School Senior


    * A resident of Tangipahoa Parish who plans
    to attend any Louisiana College or University

    * A graduating Tangipahoa Parish High School Senior
    who intends to major in any subject. 

    * Must be or have been a member in good standing of
    4-H, FCCLA or FFA, or have a relative who is either
    a current or former member of
    Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family & Community
    or a Family & Community Education Club


    The deadline for applying is Monday, April 6, 2020.

    Louisiana AFI-CIO


    The Louisiana AFI-CIO will be awarding
    three $1000 scholarships
    at the 65th Annual Convention in March. 


    All contestants must have their application materials
    postmarked by January 10, 2020


    High school seniors residing in the State of Louisiana
    whose parent/step parent is a member of an affiliated
    local union in good standing
    with the Louisiana AFL-CIO. 


    An essay is required for
    consideration in theis competition.

    2019 NSU Louisiana High School
    Essay Contest

    The 2019 Contest theme is "I am Louisiana."
    Essays should be approximately 1,000 - 2,500+ words. 

    Eligibility Criteria: 20 ACT Composite or 950 on the SAT
    At least 2.0 GPA


    Deadline for contest submissions is May 31, 2019.

    Scholarship Fund, Inc.

    who will be enrolling in an

    Historical Black College or University (HBCU). 


    Eligibility Criteria:

    Overall GPA at least 2.5
    Acceptance letter from an HBCU or

  • Math 98

    Northshore Technical Community College will be offering
    Math 98 after school on Mondays at 3:30 at Sumner High School.
    If you do not have the ACT score of at least 19,
    this course is a requirement at most Junior colleges and Universities.
    This class will transfer to Southeastern.
