Camryn St. Alexandre was recently named Jewel M. Sumner High School’s 2020-2021 Student of the Year. She is the daughter of Christopher and Angela St. Alexandre. Camryn has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and has also earned 7 statewide Industry Based Certifications in CTE elective courses. Camryn is a leader on campus and is active in many clubs: Beta, FBLA, FCCLA, Students Helping Students (SHS), and 4H to name a few. In her spare time, she enjoys playing base guitar at her church and serving as a council member. Camryn attributes her motivation to succeed to her father, whom she says has faced many obstacles and has never given up. Camryn plans to attend The University of Louisiana – Lafayette in the fall and pursue a degree in Nursing. She attributes this goal and her motivation to succeed to watching her father face and overcome many medical obstacles over the last year.
