• Weather Science

The 3rd grade students of Ms. Feast's class were able to play meteorologists for the day as they conducted hands on experiments to learn about different forms of weather.  The students participated in a Video Conference with the providers of LEARNnco, in Ohio.  The instructor, Mr. Andy Campbell, made the lesson fun, engaging, and very interesting for the students!

     Experiments
The students used a cup full of water and an index card to demonstrate the concept of pressure.  They also used the static electricity created from a balloon to explore the concept of lightening.

     Hands on Science
The students engaged in content rich discussions with the on-camera teacher.  They answered questions, volunteered for activities, and provided feedback to the lesson.

    Let's participate!
Participating in Video Conferencing lessons address many of the standards of the Common Core.  Students are able to collaborate with their peers, participate in whole group discussions, and interact socially through digital technology.
