On Friday, March 22, students in Elizabeth Rick's and Catherine Campbell’s 1st grade classes at Independence Elementary entertained students and parents during their Easter play entitled "The Bunny Bounce." Logan Bastone, Sean Patton, and Natalia Cruz tell about 21 Bunnies in the photo above.
On March 22, 2013, Roseland Montessori School welcomed several celebrity readers to the campus that were able to share their own love of literacy with the students. Local business owners, family members, school board members, and central office personnel were part of the all-star line-up. Thanks to all those who participated. The students learned many facts about the author, practiced signing "I love to read," and made a Cat in the Hat zipper pull for their book sacks. Fun was had by all!
