    IMMS students working on iPads

     Independence Middle Magnet fifth graders, Tyree Moore and Brandon Hendry, are using the Westward Expansion app on the new iPads to learn about the causes and effects of U.S. westward expansion in Ms. Jamie White's Social Studies class.

    Fifth grade students from Hammond Eastside Elementary Magnet recently visited LIGO in Livingston. The students enjoyed learning about gravity, inertia, and other research currently being conducted at LIGO. Click here to see more pictures.

    Chemistry Fun
    Mr. David Hyman's science students from Independence Middle Magnet School had a great time on a field trip to "You Be the Chemist" at SLU. Destiney Baker was the only 5th grader at the conference to make it to the Top 8 in the quiz competition.
