    Nesom Students transfer energy
The National Science Center's Mobile Discovery Van visited Nesom Middle School recently. Zaria Johnson and Jude Perrin participated in a transfer of energy demonstration involving a Vandegraf. The Mobile Discovery Van is housed in an 18-wheeler and is staffed by U. S. Army military and Department of Army civilian personnel. The 50-minute presentations consisted of hands-on, interactive science demonstrations. There were 6 sessions conducted each day and 25 to 30 students per session. Science teacher Brenda Mashon arranged this for the Nesom students. The Mobile Discovery Center programs are made possible by a partnership between the U.S. Army and the National Science Center.
