I am very excited about the start of a new school year with each and every one of you! There are a lot of changes that have taken place, but "There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction." (quoted by: Winston Churchill) This year we will be diving into a lot of great information and will be completing a variety of rigorous activities to enhance student learning and achievement. It is my goal to help my students become successful in all aspects of learning. With your help and support, I know this will be a productive and successful year.
Just to give you some information about me, I graduated from SLU in May of 2009 with a Dual Certification. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education Mild/Moderate and Elementary Grades 1-5. I have taught 5th grade for eight years and thoroughly enjoy it!!
I look forward to working with all of you throughout the year. Please feel free to contact me at any time you have a question or a concern. Thanks!!! Let's have a wonderful year!!!

Weekly Newsletters are given out on Mondays, they include:
- overview of the week ahead
- BiWeekly Spelling words
- BiWeekly vocabulary words
- upcoming dates and activities
- current unit of inquiry
Your child should keep this as a study guide for their spelling and vocabulary tests
- it is important students write down their homework daily; oncourse assignments can change daily, so students should go according to what teacher assigns in class and not what it says on oncourse.
Reading, Science, Math, and Social Studies test/quizzes will vary throughout a week as we cover new material.
Grades can be viewed at the Parent Portal
