    Louisiana Author Mike Artell
    Visits Tucker

Tucker Elementary School had a special visitor on Thursday.  Students attended a session with Louisiana Author Mike Artell.  Mr. Artell has several popular books based on Cajun inspired fairy tales.  He talked to the students about being an author/illustrator and then taught the students how to do their own cartooning.

We're getting more "techie" at the Tucker Library!

2nd Grade students from Mrs. Van's class are learning how to read an Interactive ebook on the iPad.  Students are currently using Storia, which is a free app download from Scholastic.  Students are rotating into the iPad center, during library, to have a turn checking out these cool new eBooks.  Check it out for your own iPad's!
