  • All Get Involved as Tucker Elementary Celebrates its 6th Annual Fall Fair
    fall photo booth

Tucker Elementary School rewards students for positive behavior by treating them to Fall Fair.  Students were able to play games and earn prizes for being on their best behavior for the 2nd 6 weeks of school.  Some of the games played were the sack race, cake walk, and pin the medal on Allie Gator, the school's mascot.  The most popular event was the beauty shop. The girls were able to get their nails painted and chose cute decorative accessories such as barrettes, purses and tiaras while the boys were wearing mustaches and cool sunglasses from the boy booth.  This year the photo booth was very popular. Students used Thanksgiving props and posed for pictures. All events were worked by school employees, parent volunteers and Beta Club members from Ponchatoula Junior High. Each student received a snack and drink thanks to the donations by Tucker Elementary School parents.

    Tucker Elementary is having

    a very Happy Halloween!

Tucker students got to participate in safe and friendly trick or treating at school today.  As a part of the school's positive behavior rewards, students were able to make the rounds for some goodies at each classroom.  Thanks to all of our super Teachers and wonderful Parent Volunteers, this event is possible each year.

  • mrs. gardner
Mrs. Gardner, Principal at Tucker Elementary School, took some time to read to Mrs. Morris' first graders in the Library today.  She read, "Bark, George!", by: Jules Feiffer and discussed key vocabulary in the story. The students giggled, as George the dog made different animal sounds, including: meow, quack, and moo.  George had to go to the vet, who corrected  his sound problem, but got a surprise at the end of the book.
