| Kim Howes Zabbia
served as a teacher at Ponchatoula High School from 1974 until her
recent retirement in 2007. An expert in
classroom management, Ms. Zabbia taught 150 art students a day and
still had energy left over to pursue her own art career. Active in
community service, Ms. Zabbia has been the chair of the city’s Public
Arts Commission since 2000, as well as a published author—Painted
Diaries: a Mother and Daughter’s Experience through Alzheimer’s—1996,
Fairview Press. She recently opened "The Art Station", which offers
fine art classes to adults in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. |
