Kindergarten

Parents please note. The brand names indicated are the ones that I have found the best product for the money as well as the easiest for the children to use. Please bring supplies on the day your child is tested.

  • Crayola- Large & Skinny Crayons: 1 pack each/ 8 per pack Do not send 16 or more per pack. Please label each crayon. Do not purchase package marked SO BIG they are too big.

  • 1 pair of Scissors- Fiskars only please, the kind with the curved blades at top not the pointed kind. (If your child shows a left hand tendency you might consider purchasing “lefty” scissors) Please label with your child’s name

  • 2 Bottles Dab’N Stick glue- (Wal-mart or Classworks) Please label with your child’s name.

  • 2 4oz Elmer’s white school glue: DO NOT LABEL WITH CHILD’S NAME

  • 1 Washable Crayola Markers- Classic colors only, please do not sent Bold or Pastel markers. Also no skinny makers. Please label each marker and cap with your child’s name.

  • 1 School Mat- Kindermats work the best. They are vinyl covered with creases. Please do not purchase ones that are marked thick or do not have creases. Also no covers, blankets or pillows, we do not have the storage space. Please label with your child’s name

  • 2 Packs of Pencils- DO not label

  • 2 Plastic Folders with pockets: Please label with your child’s name.

  • * 1 Book Sacks One large enough to hold their folder No rolling book sacks please! Please label with your child’s name

  • 2 Theme Books (Black & White) Please label with your child’s name

  • 1 Prang Watercolors- please send classic colors, Please label with your child’s name

  • 2 Packs of Construction Paper- 9 x 11 or 9 x 12 and 1 pack of 11 x 14

  • 1 Play Dough- 4 pack

  • 1 roll of paper towels

  • 1 box of Kleenex

  • 1 box of Band-Aids

  • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer- example Purell

  • 1 pack of Foray liquid pencils- these can be found at Office Depot

  • 1 box of baby wipes

Please write your child’s name on each crayon and each marker. School boxes will not be needed, a container for each child’s supplies will be provided. School Supply Packs can be purchased through the PTO. The pack includes everything on the list except the book sacks.

  • 1 Box Foray Liquid Pencils: Graphite Ink Available at Office Depot

No Art Boxes: They do not fit in the children’s drawers.

Each child must have some type of backpack to carry papers and books home. Please do not purchase rolling backpacks or backpacks with retractable handles. All items should be labeled with the child’s name unless other wise specified. Children should have all supplies on the first day of school.

Please label the following supplies with your child’s name written in permanent marker.
Replenish these supplies as needed.

  • 1 Small Heavy Duty Dishpan: without a lid, this will be kept at the desk to store all materials

  • 1 Large Plastic art school Box: Should be large enough to hold crayons, pencils, markets, glue, and scissors

  • 24 Pack Pencils: No. 2 sharpened.

  • 1 Pair of Scissors: Fiskars brand pointed for kids

  • 1 Pack of erasers: To replace pencil erasers when wore down

  • 2 Boxes of Crayons: 24 count at least

  • 1 Ruler: Standard and metric measure

  • 3 Pocket Folders: 1 Red 1 Blue 1 Green

  • 1 8oz Elmer’s white school glue

Please label your child’s supplies. These supplies are to be brought on the 1st day of school. Bring a chapter book or several easy books to read the 1st day of school.

Recommendation: 1 set of headphones with attached microphone for computer lab. These will be used year after year and will eliminate concerns about sharing headphones.

Each child should have the following supplies on the first day of school. Each should be labeled with the child’s name and grade. Notebooks and folders should also have the titles of the subjects written on the front.

Please do not send a thick loose-leaf notebook of Trapper Keeper. These take up too much room and the papers rip out too easily. Many of your child’s supplies will wear out or be used up and will need to be replaced during the year. Please ask your child throughout the year if he/she has plenty of paper and pencils. Please make sure your child’s name is on each of his/her belongings.
