Reimbursement Process for Teacher Tuition Exemption

Important Information
  • Reimbursement process can be found by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
  • ALL documentation to satisfy the reimbursement process MUST be submitted in a packet in its entirety. FAXED DOCUMENTATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • All applications for PRAXIS reimbursements and National Board Certification fee reimbursements must be submitted to Pat J. Williams, Title I Resource Center, Amite, LA.
  • All applications for 8(g) Local Teacher Quality TTE should be submitted to the Human Resources Department to the attention of Ron Genco/Reggie Elzy as of 12/20/07.
  • Those teachers interested in applying for CTEP should contact the Human Resource Department.
  • A delay in the reimbursement process can be caused by any of the following reasons:
    1. Application not submitted by the designated deadline.
    2. All information required is not completed.
    3. The principal’s signature has not been secured.
    4. All the necessary documentation is not included with the submittal of the application.
    5. The application for reimbursement was not submitted.
    6. The applicant checked more than one item under the Participant’s Category on the 8(g) Teacher Quality Block Grant application.
    7. The applicant checked more than one item under the Course Category on the 8(g) Teacher Quality Block Grant application.
    8. The information received could not be verified by the school.
    9. Areas of certification were not completed.
  • If an applicant, pays for tuition in cash, a receipt must be obtained from the Controller’s Office and submitted just like a credit card receipt, a debit card receipt, etc.
