Statement
Welcome to Martha Vinyard Elementary, home of great strawberries, dedicated & loving teachers, and the greatest children in America! After more than thirty-four years in operation, Vinyard has earned a justifiable reputation as a school that produces top middle school scholars who have advanced to become the leaders of our community. More than 9,000 students have passed through the Vinyard schoolhouse doors and have been greatly enriched by the experience.
The competence and professionalism of the Vinyard faculty is in part reflected by the fact that several persons that have taught at Vinyard are currently serving as principals or supervisors in the parish school system.
Vinyard teachers care about their students, not just how well they are doing in English or social studies, but how each child is coping in this changing environment at home, on the playground, and in their neighborhood. Teachers who do not love children and who are un willing to give that extra effort to help the troubled student, usually do not stay long at Vinyard.
