Vinyard Elementary promotes healthy eating by teaching it's annual "snack art class". Frank Davis, joined us this year and taught students how to create fun healthy snacks. The segment will air March 10th @6:00 on channel 4News.

The Vinyard Elementary chorus presented the crowd-pleasing  "An American Tribute", a medley of patriotic favorites, at the school board meeting on Tuesday, March 2, 2010.

In celebration of Youth Art Month, Ms. Allemand's 5th and 6th grade Art students displayed their artwork in an art show on March 4, 2010. On display were students' crayon resist jungle scenes, crayon batik animals, line paintings and Fauvist trees. We are very proud of all of the student's amazing art! We'd like to thank the Hammond Art Guild for donating supplies to make this possible.

The mayors of Hammond and Ponchatoula came to Vinyard Elementary cafeteria today to help serve our hungry students and parents in honor of Thanksgiving. Mayor Zabbia and Mayor Foster had a great time serving and greeting the students and parents as they came through the the serving line.
