| Tucker Elementary School is
located in Ponchatoula, Louisiana which is 44 miles north of New
Orleans and 45 miles east of Baton Rouge. We house 620 first and
second grade students with 38 highly qualified and dedicated faculty
and staff members to facilitate their learning experience. We at Tucker focus our educational energy to recognize and shape the needs of the whole child. Our aim is to instill in every child a sense of dignity and self-esteem. Tucker Elementary's mission is to improve and promote literacy through family awareness and parental involvement. We believe that an increase of family involvement promotes literacy as well as successful home-school partnerships. |
