Remembered
Dear Ms. Tabitha,
I've always walked into class wanting the same things. I want to be remembered as a writer. That's my art. I want to be remembered for writing something amazing, whether it's one of my poems I manage to scribble down before school starts or a story that I put my soul into. I think that in the end this will be the only art to stand the test of time. For a painting to be seen as true art, it has to be the original, in perfect condition. No painting will stand the test of time, but a story can be printed and printed over and over again and never lose any of the magic. That's why it's all I want. When I'm remembered for something that I did right, it's a rare and precious event.
If all else fails, I don't really want to be remembered. If it's not for doing something special, then, why bother? One could imagine that people want to be remembered just to be remembered. I don't see the point.
Sincerely,
Dakota Shaffett
