I would hope that when I'm dead and gone
A part of me would stay
Living in a memory
I'd like it that a' way.
Leaving behind my smiles and laughs
I'd hope they think of me
Knowing they were the best of friends
Anyone could ever be.
If I died tomorrow
I'd hope that they were proud
Of the girl I had come to be
Standing out from the crowd.
I'd hope that with each thought of me
Not tears but warm smiles instead
Stowing away the memories of me
In their hearts and in their heads.
