Procedures for English IV

TURNING IN FINAL DRAFTS
- Write in black ink only.
- Double space when typing, 12 font, Times New Roman/Courier New.
- Write heading on top, right corner.
- Name
- Date
- Subject/Hour
- Type of work
- Skip two lines after heading and center title.
- Do not write on the back of the paper.
- Write on loose leaf paper only, unless typing the paper.

LATE/ABSENT PAPERS
- Turn in late papers at the beginning of class.
- Complete a missing assignment sheet, located in the bottom bin
on the closet door.
- Staple missing assignment assignment sheet to the top of the
final draft.
- Turn in paper in the middle bin on the closet door.
- Papers that do not have a missing assignment sheet stapled to it
receive a zero.

PENALTY FOR LATE PAPERS
- 25% off for every day late.
- After 3 late days, the paper is a zero
|
|
ABSENT FOR TEST/QUIZZES
- All students have three days to make up his/her test. After
three days, the grade is a zero. (If a student has excessive
absences, the teacher will take the necessary actions to help the
student.)
- Test dates are located on the board. It is up to the student to
remember to make up the test.
- Make up test at lunch time only.

MISSING DAILY ASSIGNMENTS
- Upon returning to school, it is the student's responsibility to
find out what he/she missed.
- Check the board for important dates.
- Do not ask the teacher to check any assignments missed during
class. If the assignment missed is unclear or there are no more
handouts located in the bin, see the teacher for missing assignments
before school, at lunch, or at recess.

MISSING SCHOOL
- If a student is not at school, he/she is missing important,
class notes. It is the student's responsibility to get the notes
and handouts when he/she returns to school.
- DO NOT interrupt the teacher or the class to ask what was done
in a pervious class. Ask someone before class begins.
