Introduction

Attention Students - You are living in the most secret state of the south.  There has not been an outsider come to or visit Louisiana in the past 100 years.  It has been decided by Governor Foster to tell the world about this wonderful top secret state.  You have been chosen to help the newly formed Louisiana Tourism Committee develop an exciting, interesting, and informative flyer to distribute all over the world to help promote the wonderful state of LOUISIANA. 

Remember - It is up to you to persuade and inform people about this wonderful state.  You can draw them into our state anyway you can think of.  This job is left up to you to influence and inform outsiders of your incredible state.

In order to complete your assignment, you are to complete the following tasks.

Steps:
1.  You will be assigned a partner to work with.  You and your partner will work as a team in order to complete the final project.

2.  You need to visit at least two of the following Louisiana sights to obtain information to use in your flyer.  Remember, you need to find enough information to fill an entire flyer with information informing someone of the state of Louisiana or influencing someone to visit Louisiana.  You can make a flyer of Louisiana symbols, tourist attractions, or general information.  Remember it is up to you to get visitors to our state.  You will need to copy and save on a disk at least one graphic you found on the internet to use in your flyer.  You will need to complete an 'Information' sheet from each sight you visit.

3.  You will complete your flyer using Microsoft Publisher.  You will click on flyer and then informational.  Then begin working on your final project (you should remember how to use this software from previous assignments).  If you have trouble getting started, click start wizard.
 

Your final project will be graded as followed:
 1. Data gathered in the flyer...............40pts.
 2. Picture/graphic inserted in flyer.......10pts.
 3. Completed final project...................40pts.
 4. Presentation of final project............10pts.
                                  TOTAL............100PTS

This Web Quest should make you more knowledgeable of Louisiana.  You should get some practice using/surfing the web.  You should get practice saving pictures to a disk.  You should also get some practice using Microsoft Publisher.  Good Luck and I hope you have fun learning about your state using the Internet.
