Web Quest on Famous Black Americans

Introduction
The month of February is recognized as Black History month. This is in honor of many famous Black Americans who have made a significant contribution to America and our society.   Sometimes we are not able to understand the significance of the struggle and determination to change attitudes and heighten the understanding of what this month really means.   It is also recognized as the birthdays of some great African American pioneers such as Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. DuBois, Langston Hughes, and Eubie Blake.

    Conclusion
This Famous Black American WebQuest was an important project that teaches students to research information using the Internet. Students searched for facts on their famous Black American and located what significant contribution they made to our society.   They learned many interesting facts.   Hopefully, this project will encourage them to do more investigating on the role of different famous African Americans.
As an extra incentive to do further research on other famous Black Americans, see if you are able to earn extra points by playing the game, "Welcome to Black History Jeopardy", or in taking the "Black History Test".
