Rules:
1. Be seated in your assigned seat when the bell rings.
2. Bring all necessary materials needed to class daily.
3. Be courteous in words and actions.
4. Follow directions the first time they are given
Corrective
Action: If you choose to break any of the rules in the same period,
then you have chosen:
FIRST RULE BROKEN: A Reminder
SECOND RULE BROKEN: A 15 minute detention at 7:15 in the morning.
THIRD RULE BROKEN: A 30 minute detention at 7:00 in the morning.
FOURTH RULE BROKEN: A conference with your parents on the phone that
night.
FIFTH RULE BROKEN: An immediate referral to Coach Strickland's office.

Grades:
You will be accessed by the following methods:
Bell work: You will receive a minimum of 3 points for each bell work
assignment. At the end of each grading period, the bell work grade will
be curved 15 points. Anything above the 15 point curve will be counted
as bonus points. You will not be permitted to make up bell work unless
you have an excuse, and you have missed more than 15 points worth of
bell work assignments (5 bell work assignments).
Homework: Homework will be collected periodically (at least once per
week). You are responsible for all missed homework assignments. Each
homework assignment will be worth a minimum of 10 points. You will be
allowed to make up any missed homework assignments with an excuse. All
homework assignments will be posted on the make up board; it is your
responsibility to get any missed assignments.
Test/Quizzes: You will have a quiz or a test weekly. Every major test
will have an oral component. Some quizzes will be solely oral quizzes.
Projects: You will have a variety of small projects to complete throughout
the semester. Every project will have an oral component.
Activities: Each week you will have a variety of activities to complete.
Each activity will be worth a minimum of 10 points. Expect to have at
least 3 activities per week. You will be permitted to make up these
activities with an excuse.
¢ Writing Activities: You will be required to write in Spanish.
¢ Oral Activities: You will be required to speak in Spanish. (either
in groups or individually)
¢ Listening Activities: You will listen to a variety of spoken
Spanish and be expected to respond.
¢ Reading Activities: You will be required to read written Spanish
and be expected respond.
¢ Video Activities: You will be required to complete a variety
of activities (quizzes/projects/essays/class discussions) this year
based on the Spanish video series: Destinos.
