In addition to offering the courses described below, Agriscience students participate in state and national FFA conventions, various leadership workshops and the Louisiana FFA summer leadership camp. Students may also compete in a wide variety of career development events on the parish, state, and national levels.

AGRISCIENCE I
This course is the beginning class for agriculture and involves basic plant science, animal science, and FFA leadership training, including parliamentary law. A student enrolled in this course should become a member of FFA.

AGRISCIENCE II
Prerequisite: Agriscience 1. This course is a continuation of the areas covered in Agriscience/Agribusiness 1, in addition to horticulture, agricultural mechanics, aquaculture and natural resources conservation. A student enrolled in this course should become a member of FFA.

AGRISCIENCE III
Prerequisite: Agriscience 1 & 2. This is a specialized course involving advanced animal science, advanced horticulture, veterinary science, agribusiness management and other areas in agriculture. A student who enrolls in this course may gain two additional units by participating in the cooperative work program. A student enrolled in this course should become a member of the FFA.

AGRISCIENCE IV
Prerequisite: Agriscience 1, 2, & 3. This is a special projects course that offers concentration on individual areas of interest covered in previous Agriscience courses. A student who enrolls in this course may gain two additional units by participating in the cooperative work program. A student enrolled in this course should become a member of the FFA.

AG INTERN I & II (2 credits)
Prerequisite: Agriscience 1& 2. A student must be at least a junior. A student who enrolls in this course may gain two additional units by participating in this work program for each year he/she participates. A student enrolled in this course should become a member of FFA. (Must be taken with Agriscience 3 or 4.)
