Rice Babies!
This
was probably the most exciting thing we did! We each made
a rice baby that represented how much we weighed at birth.
The children made the babies look as much like themselves as
possible. They really had a good time and learned a lot
about babies!
We
filled out birth certificates with our babies information!
We were
babies
of all sizes!
Babies need a lot
of sleep!
Some babies
looked JUST like us!
We learned how to
hold a baby!
Babies love
kisses...
...and hugs!
We have to keep
them dressed warm!
And make sure you
support their heads!
Isn't he precious?
Just like 2 peas
in a pod!
Hush little baby!
They love to be
rocked!
What proud
parents!
More proud
parents!
Red hair runs in
the family!
Goochie Goo!
A dirty diaper?
How many does it take to change a diaper?
How sweet!
We had a baby
swap!
Is yours heavier or lighter?
We measured our
babies...
...and compared
their lengths!
We used different
things to measure...
...and talked
about the difference!
At least the
babies were still!
Measuring from
head to toe!
We played a lullaby
and put the babies to sleep in their nurseries!
Me
Boxes! We
each made a "Me Box" that contained 5 things to share
about ourselves! We learned a lot about each other, our
families, our interests, and more!
Learning
About Me! We
participated in a variety of activities to learn about ourselves
and each other!
We colored and
graphed our eye color!
Then we made a bar
graph of the eye colors!
We read "A my name is..."
And we sorted our names by the first letter!
Then we put our
names on the popcorn word wall!
We read "Leo
the Late Bloomer" and made flower blooms!
