We made a book about Louisiana and learned about many of our state symbols, traditions, and facts.
A Few of our Centers! In Math Mania, we measured beads and put them in order from longest to shortest!
We also painted patterns on a paper plate to make a jester hat in Artist's Studio! Very festive!
We made mini king cakes in Cook's Corner and talked about the history of the king cake!
We made another little Louisiana book in Writers Block!
We used sponge di-cuts to stamp Louisiana patterns!  Then we had to name our neighbor's pattern!
We decorated festive masks to wear at our class parade!
We sorted turtles, crawfish, alligators, frogs, and fish.  Then we rolled two dice and filled ten frames to show the 2-digit number that we had rolled.  This was great practice counting by 10's and 1's!
We played red bean number match in Puzzles and Games!
What would Mardi Gras be without a parade? We sang Mardi Gras Mambo and caught lots of beads!
