Mrs. Cook's Unit
We put sentences in order.

We stamped an apple pattern...	and used it for a border.		Still stamping!
We made Homemade Apple Sauce!
We followed the recipe in sequential order.	Mrs. Cook peeled the apples.		We sliced the apples.
We put them in the pot.	We added sugar and cinnamon.		We added water.
And we let it cook all day.			We talked about the water cycle (look on the lid!)
We stirred it occasionally. It looks ready to eat!	It was a little hot...		But very yummy!
We had an apple balancing relay!
Is it on straight?	I think I can, I think I can!		Go team!
Look mom, no hands!	This takes concentration!		Cool & Confident!
We made a book, "Where is Mr. Wiggles?" It helped us practice our directional words like above, below, beside, inside, outside, between, etc. The pages are below.
"Where is Mr. Wiggles?"	Mr. Wiggles is above the apple.		Mr. Wiggles is below the apple.
Mr. Wiggles is beside the apple.	Mr. Wiggles is outside the apple.		Mr. Wiggles is inside the apple.
Mr. Wiggles is between the apples.	Mr. Wiggles is eating the apple!		Reading is fun!
We estimated how many seeds were inside the apple. Then we read a story about the little red house with no windows or doors with a star inside. We cut open the apple, found the star and counted to see if our estimate of seeds was right.
Here is my estimate!	A good "guess"timate!		There is a star inside!
