We
made a handprint flag and talked about our country, its
freedoms, and the flag's symbolism. We also read
the book, "September
12th",
and talked about the events of
September 11th.
The
children led a very good discussion about their
feelings. We said the pledge, discussed the
soldiers fighting for our
country,
and sang a few patriotic songs.
Many
of the teachers at our school had the children make
these cute little patriotic headbands!
