from the Beginning is a writing program that was first implemented in Tangipahoa Parish during the 2004-2005 school year. The program focuses on teaching students to add details to their writing in grades as early as Kindergarten. Students begin learning to use Thinking Maps to plan and guide their writing, beginning in First Grade. |
