Ms. Dupuy's Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is simple.  I always think of the reason why I went to school to become a teacher.  I went to school because I wanted to inspire children in a positive way.  I look into the eyes of children today and I see the very essence of our future.  I have always envisioned myself as a leader and a hard worker.  I realized that many children today lack self discipline and structure.  I feel that children today need positive role models and teachers to help them understand just how important they are.  I want every child that I teach to realize their full potential and to utilize their skills to accomplish their goals.  Many children that I have taught have been abused and neglected.  I found that through writing, these children had an open door to be creative instead of ending up on the streets.  I know that I was born to teach.  My mother and grandmother were both teachers.  Teaching is every part of me, and is the reason why I feel so good about myself.  When I became a teacher, I realized that I needed it to survive.   My students teach me everyday and give me the strength to inspire them.  As they grow and learn, I do just the same.
