Fourth and Fifth graders
performed tall tales for in-class performances to practice
fluency and speaking skills. Fourth graders performed
"Polly Ann and John Henry: An American Tall Tale" and "The
Giants Wife: A Tall Tale from Ireland." Fifth graders
performed "Master Man: A Tall Tale from Nigeria" and "The
Legend of Slappy Hooper: An American Tall Tale
2007-2008
Using
Measurement to Make Smoothies
Soil models made with
chocolate chips, crushed oreos, pudding, gummy worms, and
green coconut. Students had a lot of fun getting messy
learning about bedrock, subsoil, and topsoil.
