Grading and Subject Drop |
|
CUMULATIVE GRADING
Each grade during the semester will be recorded using a
numerical value. At the end of each 6 week grading period,
the teacher will convert the numerical value to a percentage
which will be recorded on the student’s Interim Report. At
the end of the semester, the percentage will be converted
into a letter grade in accordance with Tangipahoa Parish
School System regulations.
INCOMPLETE GRADES
An incomplete (I) is given only in those cases where
illness or emergency has kept the student from completing
the assignments. Absences for any other reason must be
pre-approved by the administration. Make-up work is the
complete responsibility of the student. No credit (N/C) is
given for excessive absences for the semester.
DROPPING SUBJECTS
No student will be allowed to drop a subject without
permission of the principal or assistant principal in charge
of curriculum and instruction. No exceptions will be made to
this rule.
