After completing a unit on community helpers, Ms. Brown, Ms. Redding, and Ms. Titus' classes boarded a bus to visit our local community helpers.  They went to the Fire Station where they got to tour the station, sit in the fire truck, and sound the siren.  From there they went to the Mayor's Office.  The next stop was the police station where they got to visit the jail and see the K-9.  After that they went to the post office and saw the new obelisk by the DDD.  Lastly they went to Regions Bank where they got to go into the vault.  After their exciting visits, the students were able to enjoy some sun in a picnic lunch and play time at a local park.  I think the smiles show how successful the trip was!
