Arkady
Yanivker and Olga Tcherniak gave a special concert to the
accelerated classes Monday, October 8th. They were both
born in the
USSR, different regions , and later moved to
Ontario Canada where they reside today. Amite Arts Council
brought them to the USA for a
Southeastern Louisiana
University Fanfare Sunday Afternoon concert. Because both
artists believe in the education of youth, they agreed to do local education outreach mini concerts at Amite High School,
Oak Forest Elementary, Holy Ghost School, and Hammond
Eastside, Westside, and Woodland Park Early Learning
Center's Accelerated Program.The Concerts were a huge success and
the students were
given a glimpse of excellence. |
