I would like to take this time to introduce myself and welcome your child into my fifth grade class.    I believe your child will enjoy and respond well to my teaching style.  I use a variety of manipulatives, teaching tools, visuals, experiments, projects, and activities to make the lessons more interesting and meaningful. 

        Having your support in my classroom is very important to me.  I believe that positive interaction between teacher and parent strengthens the feeling of support that all children need for success in school.  Feel free to communicate with me at any time through notes in your child’s homework folder,  through conferences, or by phone calls to the school.  If we work together, we will have a very successful year!  I am looking forward to meeting you, and having the opportunity to work with your child this year.
