Letter to the Parents
 


 
     Welcome parents or guardians to my fifth grade class.  My name is Mark Richardson.  I am looking forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to work with your child this school year.  Since your child will be spending many days in my class, I will tell you a little bit about myself.  I am officially in my fifth year of teaching at Champ Cooper Elementary School.  I am 27 years old and received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in elementary education.  I have been happily married for two years and currently live in Hammond. 
    My teaching style is something that I believe your children will enjoy and respond well to.  I use a variety of visual aids and activities that hopefully will make the lessons exciting and meaningful.  I strive to conduct a classroom built on respect and responsibility.  I also strongly believe that communication is a major factor in your child's education.  I am eager to talk to you about any situations or academic questions that arise during the school year. 
    I will try to keep this website updated for the entire school year.  You will be able to locate my rules and procedures, future tests and projects, pictures of our class, and many other items as well. With your help, I anticipate a wonderful and eventful school year at Champ Cooper.
